Last Thursday saw me rising before the sun and making my way to my flower wholesaler to pick up the flowers for Elle and Charlie’s wedding. They had a relaxed, country theme, with a celebration of English flowers in soft tones of blues, creams and a splash of pink.
We had stocks, sweetpeas, delphinium, larkspur, scabious, nigella, David Austin old English roses, sweet william… the scents were AMAZING. In fact, I think I spent more time smelling the flowers than arranging them.
The finished items were loosely arranged, with lots of texture and a light airy feel.
The tables had a mixed selection of bottles and vases, with similarly loose arranged flowers. My silly battery sadly ran out before I reached the reception venue, so we’ll have to sit patiently for the official photographs to come through and share the reception decor in all it’s beauty!
And you know you’ve done a good job when the bride emails you from the airport before jetting off on honeymoon…
